Research shows that outdoor education increases learning performance and supports emotional, behavioral, and intellectual development. Natural environments are known to enhance children's physical, mental, and social health. We've observed firsthand how children thrive when learning amongst the grass, trees, bugs, and dirt, and why we are uniquely founded upon these techniques.

Julia Medlock
My work with children and adults ranges from in-patient acute care, NICU, in-patient rehabilitation, outpatient services, school setting, skilled nursing facility, lactation support groups, and the private practice setting. Besides my profession, the outdoors is my passion and where I thrive. Given the research to support learning through outdoor experiences, my deep adoration of the outdoors, and my personal experiences working outdoors, were the driving factors for creating Sunshine Therapy. I strive to offer services for this community in a more natural setting and in the great outdoors.
